Have you ever wondered what goes into preparing a wood sign party?
We have prepared a short video to show you some of the steps we take to cut and sand the wood, and also to get the stencils ready for application. Obviously, this is a time-lapse video, but it gives an idea of what goes on behind the scenes. It actually takes many hours of work to prepare for a single event. Sanding and cutting wood is about as time-consuming as cutting and weeding the stencils. There's actually more to a wood sign party than just sanding and cutting stencils.
We start with planing ahead by organizing our orders by party date. Sorting through emails and online orders can be time-consuming, but it's a necessary step to ensure all orders accounted for and fulfilled correctly.
Making sure that we have enough supplies for the event is also important. Items such as stains, paints, brushes, varnish, etc. need to be refilled frequently. Taking frequent trips to the hardware store helps us replenish our stock. We are constantly on the lookout for new products to add to our services and new ideas to keep things fresh.
On the day of the event, we pack everything we need to host our event. From paper towels to paints, to wood, we load the vehicle and head to the event about an hour before to set-up. Following set-up, an event takes an average of 3 hours to complete from start to finish. Through this process, we guide you with staining your board, applying the stencil, painting, removing the stencil and applying a protective finish. Everyone, including children, has the ability to make a masterpiece, customized to their liking, and the best part of it all is bringing it home to show off!
