What is a wood sign paint party?

A wood sign paint party is a twist on the traditional paint night where you choose your design, paint it, put on the hardware, take it home and hang it.

What can I expect?

When you arrive, your chosen design and wood will be waiting for you. All you need to do is grab a beverage and choose your stain/paint colors from our selection. We will instruct you on how to do the rest! Parties usually last two to three hours.

How much does it cost?

Prices are dependent on the size you choose, varying from $20 to $45. Food and drinks at public venues are extra. 

 

Do I need to bring anything?

Just your excitement! We provide everything you will need to create your beautiful individual sign. 

I am not creative!

Don't worry! This is not 'free-hand' painting, so painters do not need to be creative but if you are a bit more artistic, feel free to add your own special touches!

Can I bring my young daughter/son to an Against the Grain wood sign paint party?

 

Yes, provided our venue is open to minors. Our wood signs are easy to create for all ages; however, we find it is easiest for children who are 10 and up. It will be specified in the party details. 

 

Can my sign be displayed outdoors?

Yes, it can. However, we recommend that you apply an outdoor protecting finish to your sign.  ** We do not provide this at the event because it takes multiple coats and several hours to dry between coats **

I saw a really nice quote on a greeting card, can it be put onto a sign?

Yes. However, customs will be done based on how busy we are. We may not always have extra time to create customs. Email for availability. A design fee is added for customs. Prices will vary based on complexity.

 

What types of payment do you accept?

All orders are processed securely through our website. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and
E-Transfers.

Please register at least 5 days before public events. Because each design is cut out specifically for your sign, pre-payment is required.  

Do I leave with the finished project or do we need to pick it up at a later date?

 

You will leave with your completed project. However, we DO NOT provide ANY protective finish. We recommend the use of an indoor varnish if you are placing your sign in a bathroom or kitchen where you might need to wipe it more often. (If your sign is going to be used outdoors, you will need to purchase an outdoor polyurethane to protect your sign from sunlight and humidity.) 

All that will be left to do is pick the perfect place to hang it!

 

 

Can I book a corporate event or fundraiser?

 

We love planning events! Contact us to book a date! Evenings and weekends available.

 

 

What if I have to cancel?

 

 

We understand that life happens. If you rebook for a different date, no extra charges will apply. 

 

 

Any cancellations up to 72  hours before the event can receive a full refund. 

 

 

 

Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class will not receive a refund, but can attend any other public event.
